Bad beat jackpot released on the International Poker Network
Aug 10, 2009
The International Poker Network or IPN owned by the Swedish company Boss Media has made a whole table of players happy even if one the players lost his hand in a showdown. The IPN bad beat jackpot hasn’t been released for a long time so the total amount of the bad beat jackpot that was released to the table the hand was played came up to a whopping €412,718 that was devided by all the 10 players at the table. But most of the money ended up in the losers pocket followed by the person who won the pot.
AlkaliEars sat down at the table and got his two hole cards a pair of jacks and when the board hit quads he was sure he couldn’t lose the hand so when the showdown came and all the money was in the middle of the table his heart sank as the opponent showed a pair of kings in the pocket which gave him a four of a kind with kings. Even in the disappointment the player knew that if he got beaten with the hand he was playing he would win the bad beat jackpot and was delighted to see his poker account being filled to the brim with money. AlkaliEars received a cool 144473 Euros for the loss and the winner of the hand got 72,236 Euros. All other players seated at the table all received 24,078 Euros as well.
IPN has one of the easiest bad beat jackpots on the market. The player needs to loose with quad 6s or better to win the jackpot. Both of the hole cards have to be counted from the players hand if he is going to win the Jackpot.
