Betsson allowed opening the betting shop again

Jan 4, 2010

The big Gambling site Betsson. Com that can offer all types of games to their players opened up a betting shop in Stockholm in 2008 and after 18 months the company was forced by the Swedish government to close their Betting shop. The CEO of Betsson officially closed the betting shop December 22, 2009 but just a few days after the shop was closed Betsson decided to appeal to the court and is now able to open up the Betting shop once again to the citizens of Sweden.

Betsson lost a court case against the government owned state lottery but after a few days Betsson decided to appeal the decision and won the appeal. The government has decided to cancel the latest verdict and the result is that Betsson is free to open the store at any time until the new appeal has been processed. Betssons CEO Pontus Lindwall has announced that the betting shop will reopen shortly and that business will go on as nothing happened.

The betting shop at Götgstan in Stockholm is run by Shopsson AB a subsidiary of Betsson, the goal with the store is to provide the Betsson gambling portal in a live environment and at the same time it works as a way to undermine the Swedish state run gambling monopoly. The verdict is a big step forward when it comes to challenge the Swedish gambling monopoly.
