Betsson awarded with social responsibility award

EGR awards are the industry’s premier awards ceremony rewarding the very best operators in the online gaming industry, and was this year held at London’s Old Billingsgate. The award show has many different categories and the winners have to achieve something extra to be able to win one of the awards. The awards handed out include Gaming Operator of the Year, Innovation of the Year, and Rising Star of the Year amongst many other categories. One of the most prestigious awards at the ceremony is the socially responsible operator of the year trophy which was won by Betsson.
Betssons award for social responsibility was won in competition with several highly renowned company’s such as the UK national lottery’s operator Camelot, Party gaming and Ladbrokes to mention a few, even further establishing Betsson place as a fast growing well respected online operator with social responsibility.
at the EGR awards of 2009, the award can be considered as big in the online gaming world as an Oscar is in the movies, and was given out at this year’s eGaming Reviews two-day conference and exhibition for operators in late November. The Betsson Company never received a award last year even if the company was nominated in several different categories which included the social responsibility award. Pontus Lindwall the CEO of Betsson gives credit to the award to the company’s hard work when it comes to informing and working around responsible gaming and is very delighted to receive this highly renowned recognition that will only make Betsson work harder and more focused on the continuous work to spread the word of responsible online gaming. The company has set a high goal in offering the world’s most social responsible gaming site through Betsson.
