Bwin might become a soccer team owner

One of the teams that used to reside in the highest soccer league in the England might get a new owner in the form of an online gambling company. Newcastle United has been a struggling team the last few seasons and was relegated after last season and now the owner is looking in to selling the club to a new investor. Rumors around the premier league points out the Austrian gambling company Bwin as one of the parties that might be willing bring out the asking price of £100 to purchase the club and bring them back into the premier league.
Last season was a disaster for Newcastle United who has been residing in the premier league since 1994 has been in a downwards spiral over the last three years finishing bleow the middle in the league. Last season the team ended up at 18th place and where moved down to division one for the first time in 15 years. The team needs to be rebuilt and a new owner might be one part pf the solution to come back and play like the team did in middle of the nineties when they finished at second place two years in a row.
Bwin who has taken a big interest in football has already sponsored several big football clubs around Europe for the past years as Real Madrid in La Liga and Ac Milan in the Italian Series A as well as several clubs in the Portuguese league. The rumors about Bwin as a potential buyer of the team has started since two of Bwins highest officers took a tour of the clubs facilities last week and had a long meeting with owner Mike Ashley. According to the rumor the Austrian company is about to put together a package that could match Mike Ashley’s asking prize.
