PartyGaming new owner of WPT

The World poker tour is a poker tour that has a rich history. The first season of the tour was held in 2002. The poker tour was the first big poker event to travel from city to city and it got lots of succes with the following World Poker Tour show that was recorded at the venues where the tournament was held. The WPT events has been held throughout USA mainly but has been visiting countries outside of the American borders. There has been many rumors about companies that are interested in making a deal with World Poker Enterprise for the rights to the poker tour and now a deal has been signed.
The new owner of the World Poker Tour will be the gambling giant PartyGaming who operates several online gambling portals that offers Poker, betting bingo and casino. The deal was signed even if the World Poker Tour Enterprise had a deal ready for 9 million dollar with a private investment company named Gaymanyia Limited. Peerless Media a subsidiary of PartyGamings put down a bid of 12.3 million dollars and 5% of the revenue of the World Poker Tour and that made WPT enterprises to break of the prior deal.
The World Poker Tour already started the 8 season of the poker tour that will take tehe tour to more countries than ever. 4 venues has already had the Poker Tour, Venice in Italy, Barcelona in Spain, bicycle casino in bell gardens, California and the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada. The chairman of the World Poker Tour Steve Lipscomb says that PartyGaming will be a valuable asset to the marketing of the Poker Tour and will bring The WPT to new highs.
