Phil Ivey has hit second base two more for home run at WSOP

The American Poker Pro Phil Ivey has picked up his second win of the 2009 World Series of Poker awarding him with yet another WSOP Bracelet. The second win of the season came in a brand new event called Omaha 8-or-better/Seven-card Stud 8-or-better (Event 25) with a buy in of $2500. The two day event attracted 376 players that had been played down to 14 after day one and the final table had two other bracelet holders competing for yet another price pool of over 200,000 dollars, that in the end went to Phil Ivey.
When Phil Ivey came in to the final table he was the short stack of the nine but after eliminating two of the players he reached a chip lead when there was 7 players left in the game. Phil Ivey had a commanding chip lead with over 3 to 1 when he faced Ming Lee heads up. When hitting a cased queen on the river making a set with his pair of queens the clay want in on the table and was called by Ming Lee and giving the title to Phil. Ivey was awarded $220,538 and Ming Lee received $136,292 for his troubles.
The new event was the second for win for Phil Ivey the first event was event 8 Deuce to Seven Draw Lowball that was played as a no limit event with 147 entrants and a buy in of 2,500. The new event that came to be the 7th bracelet win for Phil Ivey, the Omaha 8-or-better/Seven-card Stud 8-or-better is a mix between the two games. And the game changes every 8 hands. Even if it is emensely hard Phil Ivey is trying to do a full homerun and walk away with four bracelets this year and the two most prestigious are still to be played.
