Nov 9, 2009

Nine players started the first day of play in the Penn and Teller Theater on Saturday and just two of them are still in left in the game. The largest poker event of the year has started when the November Nine sat down to play the final table of the World series of Poker 2009. Amongst the Nine Darvin Moon was the player who started out the day with the most chips and by the time the event took a break until it is time for the two to play Heads Up Darvin Moon had lost the lead to his opponent Joseph Cada.

The First player to bust out of the final table was a disappointed James Aikenhead. Phil Ivey who was one of the players many pros thought would win the tournament came in to the final table as number 7 in chips and went out on seventh place. Last player to leave the final table before the Heads Up was Antoine Saout who reached the final table in the WSOPE in London earlier this fall. He walked away with $3.5 million after losing the last pot to Joseph Cada who hit a King on the river beating Saouts pocket 8’s.

Darvin Moon who is one of the two players left in the tournament started the day as the chip leader will resume the heads up a underdog. Darvin Moon is a 46 year old logger who works with a chainsaw in his day to day work will have a lot of work to do to catch up to the 21 year old Joseph Cada. Cada came into the final table as number five in chips has for the last few years had poker as his only profession. If Joseph Cada wins the World Series of Poker Main event when the two players meet heads up eh will be the youngest player ever to be the world champion.
