The aggressive play style is easy to spot since an aggressive player plays a lot of hands, all hands a aggressive player plays are definitely not good and an aggressive player is likely to bluff once in a while. Aggressive players have a tendency to bet out after the flop, this is something that is easy to take advantage of as a player if you have good cards after the flop. Let the aggressive player bet before you or check the hand and let the aggressive player bet, then make a raise. In many cases the aggressive player will fold his hand which makes some extra money. If the aggressive players raises be care full and don’t move in with a really good hand.
Passive players are often pretty easy to play against since the passive players seldom act on anything without having a really good hand. A passive player plays only a few hands so when a passive player goes in to a hand make sure you have a great hand before trying to beat the passive player. Passive players can use their passive style to bluff once in a while but in the long run it is not worth the risk to try to steal a pot from a passive player unless you have a really good read on how the passive player usually plays his hands.
Passive aggressive style is basically a combination of the two styles. A player who plays a very few hands but when he plays the hands he will bet hard on all cards that comes on the board. When playing against a passive aggressive player it is really important to be ready to face the decision of all in at any time during a pot, so make sure you have the best hand against a passive aggressive player.
